ABOUT US

This committee is tasked with promoting, carrying out and supervising the technical research projects developed by our Association. Throughout the years, it has created numerous publications and conducted many studies, as well as advised the Ministry of Public Works and collaborated with other techno-scientific associations and societies. In addition, the committee is responsible for coordinating the conferences and congresses in which our Association participates.

The Young Engineers Committee manages cooperation between Spanish universities and our association, with the aim of bringing future professionals into the world of geotechnical engineering. This is achieved by inviting them to learn about the projects completed by our member companies and by sharing our technical expertise. In collaboration with teachers, the committee organizes a variety of activities with students, such as conferences and visits to sites and machinery yards, while also discussing the range of professional options available to them in geotechnical engineering upon the completion of their studies.

This committee focuses on promoting and improving on-site safety in the work carried out by our member companies. Here, the representatives of the safety and risk prevention divisions of each company meet periodically in order to share their experience and discuss the prevention measures adopted. In addition, this committee is also responsible for promoting and organizing conferences related to health and safety.

This committee concentrates on disseminating the technological innovations achieved by the manufacturers of machinery and equipment used in special foundations and soil treatments. These innovations are primarily concerned with safety, sustainability and digitalization. Moreover, the committee conducts research on materials that allow for safe excavation and drilling of the soil (such as bentonite mud or polymers), as well as reinforcement materials (such as tubular steel pipes for micropiles or ground anchors with cables or special bars).  

The Communication Committee of AETESS has the mission to keep alive and update the communication channels of the Association, which are mainly the website and the Sosial Media  as LinkedIn profile. Likewise, it is in charge of establishing the publication criteria in the social networks in which AETESS is active, which are Twitter and YouTube. It also organizes the resources for the promotion and dissemination of the Association's activities.

The joint SEMSIG-AETESS Committee is equally composed of representatives from both organizations. Its main objective is to organize the technical conferences that we have hosted for the past two decades. The committee is also tasked with promoting symposiums, conferences, courses, seminars and other activities, as well as fostering collaboration with other organizations with the Spanish geotechnical community.
